Breathing New Life Into A Historic Greenhouse

The restoration of the historic Linnean House at the Missouri Botanical Garden is complete.  Built in 1882, it is considered the oldest greenhouse in continuous operation west of the Mississippi River.  Christner’s design included repairs to the building’s ornate masonry, wood windows and doors, replacement of the glass roof, and reconfiguration of the interior walkway.  Great care was taken to preserve the high quality craftsmanship, historic architecture and original footprint.
