Jennifer joins Christner in 2014 as Director of Interior Design, bringing broad experience and a distinguished portfolio in interior design. She works with the architectural team from programming and space planning through construction administration to assure that the client’s goals and design standards for interiors are interpreted and executed at the highest level. She is central to the development of FFE packages, specifications, and budgets.

Her work encompasses the healthcare, corporate, science and technology, and education markets. Whatever the assignment, Jennifer makes certain that the interiors contribute to the users’ experience in well-crafted, sustainably designed space.

He is adept at handling the day-to-day production and coordination issues demanded by complex renovation and new construction projects on existing campuses. Jeff has developed special expertise in design for seismic stability, and has written several articles on the subject.

Shanna heads up Christner’s operations.  With 12 years of design and management experience, she advocates for innovation in technology and documentation in order to continually create value for our clients, while staying at the forefront of design. Shanna assures that Christner is known both for great client service and as a great place to work.

As manager of many of our healthcare projects, she enjoys the challenge of solving complex problems. Her experience spans from highly-technical Hybrid Cath Lab and 3t MRI projects to highly-sensitive Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Units. In addition to creating a pleasant patient experience, her interest in lean process improvement makes efficiency of staff workflow a constant design consideration.  As Director of Operations, she is responsible for aligning staff resources with client expectations, recruiting top talent, and facilitating professional development.

Kelly is experienced in planning, design and construction documentation for a variety of educational projects. As a specialist in sustainable design, she understands and develops design methods that conserve natural resources and reduce energy consumption, and are healthy and productive environments for users. Through both design and construction, she guides the multi-disciplinary design team through the integrated design process. She is responsible for documentation and submission to the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) for projects seeking LEED certification and brings expertise in applying the rating system proactively throughout design and construction. She also coordinates LEED education in our office.

Ollie leads our construction administration services, working directly with clients and leading our in-house program for architects engaged in construction phase services.  For ten years, he was an owner and principal for construction services at PNM Ltd Architects, an architectural firm specializing in healthcare design.  Over four decades of professional practice, Ollie has developed a deep understanding of owner, design team, and contractor procedures and how to build working relationships and practice methods for the benefit of all.  He is regarded as an expert relationship builder, negotiator and project strategist.

Sara is a project manager specializing in healthcare and institutional facilities. With graduate degrees in both architecture and construction management and previous experience with contracting firms, she brings a foundation in collaborative teamwork to every project, linking design, engineering and construction practices. Her work on large-scale projects requires detailed coordination of the design disciplines and careful review with regulatory agencies, as well as monitoring of the project budget and schedule.

In her role at Christner, Sara works closely with the Director of Operations to recruit new employees and coordinate our internship program. Laurel brings perspective in urban design and policy planning to her role as Director of Landscape Architecture. As head of our landscape and site development services group, she lends a holistic approach to our services, whether the focus is a campus master plan, redevelopment plan or streetscape design. Her creative capabilities and innovative approaches have been recognized with a number of awards from the American Society of Landscape Architects.

Laurel advocates for sustainability through design strategies that work with the local climate and ecology, while also creating people-focused and accessible public places. These strategies are playing out in a “great streets” vision for an arts and commercial district, in a streetscape design for an urban redevelopment, in a recreational greenway linking metropolitan districts, and in healing gardens and children’s areas on hospital campuses.

Robin has taken on many roles in the shaping of the built environment. An experienced project manager, he is most effective in a collaborative process drawing on the expertise of our clients and team members. Robin encourages a shared approach to problem-solving, and manages the process of integrating the input of architects, interior designers, engineers and specialty consultants. The result for our clients is a project that meets schedule and budgetary requirements, while responding with creative, enduring architectural solutions.

His clients include Blessing Hospital, Perry County Memorial Hospital, Washington University, the Missouri Botanical Garden, and Lewis, Rice & Fingersh, LC.

Dave has more than 30 years of professional experience in design, production and construction administration. He focuses on effective document production processes in order to optimize coordination and add value at every phase of the design process. His extensive experience as a healthcare architect gives him specialized knowledge of the details of equipment coordination, code requirements, and healthcare design regulations.

His clients include Blessing Hospital, SSM Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center, Mercy Health System, Alton Memorial Hospital, and McDonough District Hospital.

Dan has played a guiding role in establishing the firm’s corporate practice over the past 25 years. His clients include many of St. Louis’ Fortune 500 companies and largest law firms, as well as such diverse organizations as Grand Center and Edgewood Children’s Center. He has developed significant expertise in work environments that influence behavior and cultural patterns in support of desired business goals. 

Dan was instrumental in establishing the firm’s leadership in sustainable design practices, beginning with the design of the Missouri Botanical Garden’s Monsanto Research Center, a building that predates LEED building standards by almost a decade. Dan believes that sustainable strategies must be selected to bring identifiable benefit to the client. This raises the sustainable dialogue to the solid foundation of mission and financial justification, while challenging the design team to aspire to a higher level of design.
