Christner analyzed facility information for Tier One of the entire Washington University Medical Center complex, covering 29 acres and 5.7 million gross square feet of facilities, including 30 buildings, three parking structures, facilities currently under construction, and facilities more than 80 years old. Our conclusions identified buildings representing long-term value; illustrated that campus redevelopment would require removal of several older buildings; and outlined a long-range strategy for consolidating and separating inpatient and outpatient functions.
