The Ambulatory Care Clinic will provide BJC with multi-specialty clinics, physicians' offices and administrative space in a new 12-story tower. The program demanded a more complex model than a traditional medical office building - combining a mix of private and public patients in an academic setting. The clinic will provide convenience and efficiency for private practice physicians and practical clinical experience for resident physicians.
Christner's design solves a number of site issues, including: convenience for patients arriving by private and public transportation, relationship to the street level circulation and pedestrian scale; and compatibility with the adjacent campus architecture.

Our exterior design anchors the southern end of the Euclid Avenue commercial district, while appropriately expressing the BJC brand and complementing the existing campus architecture.
Located in the vibrant Central West End, the clinic is designed to complement the neighborhood streetscape with retail storefronts on the lower level.
The tight urban site required planners to maximize the use of available space. Careful building siting allowed us to include a patient drop-off area, a receiving area and connections to the adjacent parking garage.
